Our Story
In a world where serendipity reigns supreme and fate delights in playing matchmaker, there existed two souls whose love story unfolded with the whimsy of a romantic comedy. Meet Christian, a tall, witty man with a penchant for trivia, and Kayce’, a short but quirky woman whose laughter could light up a room.
Their story began miles away from their hometowns, at a gap year program in 2015. Amidst the camaraderie of group activities and late-night conversations, Christian and Kayce’ formed a deep bond as friends. From sharing inside jokes to navigating the challenges of faith and self-discovery, they found solace and laughter in each other’s company.
However, life had other plans, and their paths diverged as they ventured into the unknown. It wasn’t until 2021, through the wonders of social media, remembering each other’s birthdays, and a dash of cosmic intervention, that they reconnected. Christian, eager to catch up with his old friend, reached out to Kayce’, sparking a conversation that reignited their friendship.
As they reminisced about old times and shared stories of their adventures, Christian found himself drawn to Kayce’ in a way he hadn’t expected. Despite his best efforts to keep things casual, his heart had other ideas. With a mix of nerves and excitement, he mustered the courage to ask Kayce’ on a date.
To his surprise, Kayce’ initially hesitated, citing reasons like “We have different plans and we’re going down separate paths” and “I have a pet rock to take care of.” But Christian, undeterred by her playful, yet somewhat serious, resistance, persisted with gentle persistence.
Their first date was a simple affair—a game of putt-putt, watching the sunset on a hill, and endless conversation. In the midst of laughter and shared stories, they discovered a connection that went beyond friendship, igniting a spark that neither could deny.
Months passed, and their bond deepened with each passing day. Christian and Kayce’ knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with each other, and after 2 short years, Christian began planning the perfect proposal. With a touch of mischief and a lot of love, he devised a plan to take her on a beach outing to watch the sunset on New Year’s Eve.
As they journeyed to the beach, Kayce’s sense of direction led them on a mini adventure through the suburbs. Just when they both feared they were hopelessly lost, Kayce’ pulled out the trusty Google Maps and guided their way to the beach before the sun had set. They sat, side by side (Kayce’ completely oblivious) when Christian, through some conversational trickery, surprised her with a ring, the symbol of his unwavering love and commitment.
With tears of joy, Kayce’ said yes, sealing their fate with a promise to navigate life’s twists and turns together.
